Yuya Fujita Exhibition
2021.1.1-
With a masterful command of realism, Yuya Fujita depicts fresh fruits so vivid they seem almost within reach, alongside antique European tools and bottles that appear to have passed through many hands over long periods of time. Through these works, we are reminded of how richly colored and textured our everyday lives truly are.
“My subject is the objects that people can find in their daily lives. They may not have the power to change the world or to shock an audience. They are ordinary, uneventful, and perhaps even uninteresting to many. However, I am drawn to the subtle beauty and the faint narratives contained within them. Each of these stories may not change the world, but at times they ignite my imagination. They are also moments in which I discover new possibilities emerging from within myself.”
— Yuya Fujita
