自身の出身地である宮崎県都城市にて制作を行っている黒木周氏。布を貼りつけた板を使ったクロスグラフという独自の技法で版画を制作しています。直線や曲線、点など身の回りにあるさまざまな形を切り取り、独特な構図で配置し、暖かみのある色で仕上げています。
最近ではイデーショップ自由が丘店アートギャラリー（東京）、酢重ギャラリー（軽井沢）、モンコレクションギャラリー（福岡）、など各地で個展を開催。またレストラン酢重グループの各店舗、シティベーカリーの各店舗、無印カフェの店舗などさまざまなところで黒木氏の作品を見ることができます。シンプルでありながら深みのある黒木周さんの世界観をお楽しみください。

Mr. Shu Kuroki, who creates his work in his hometown of Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture, produces prints using a unique technique called “Clothgraph,” which involves applying fabric to wooden boards. He cuts out various shapes found in everyday life—such as straight lines, curves, and dots—and arranges them in distinctive compositions, finishing each piece with warm, inviting colors.
In recent years, he has held solo exhibitions at various venues including the IDÉE Shop Jiyugaoka Art Gallery (Tokyo), Suju Gallery (Karuizawa), and Mon Collection Gallery (Fukuoka). His works can also be seen in many locations such as Suju Group restaurants, City Bakery branches, and MUJI Café stores.
