木版画家・加藤晃秀（1936–2015）は、伝統的な手摺木版の技を継承しながら、独自の感性で京都の風景を描いた作家です。四季折々の光や空気、街の静けさを繊細な色の重なりで表現し、古都・京都の情景に新たな美を見いだしました。本展では、京都の版元・芸艸堂の協力のもと、加藤が生涯をかけて描き続けた木版画の世界をご紹介いたします。伝統と詩情が響き合うその作品群を、どうぞゆっくりとご鑑賞ください。

The late woodblock print artist Teruhide Kato (1936–2015) carried on the tradition of Japanese hand-printed woodblocks while expressing the landscapes of Kyoto through his own refined sensibility. His works capture the city’s shifting light, quiet streets, and changing seasons with delicate layers of color, revealing a timeless beauty within the ancient capital. Presented in collaboration with Unsodo, a long-established Kyoto publisher, this exhibition offers a glimpse into the serene and poetic world that Kato devoted his life to creating.
